What a true honour and privilege to be invited to the inauguration of the very first black female Lord Mayor of Liverpool, the amazing Anna Rothery. History was made and I loved being a part of it. Anna is a passionate champion of all things equality and a staunch defender of the people of Liverpool. I have known Anna for several years and she has been a role model and mentor to me and to countless others. I look forward to supporting her in her Mayorship!
