It was an honour to be invited to take part in the opening ceremony of Eurovision at St George’s Hall, as part of the ‘Powerful Women of Liverpool’ segment. What a spectacular event! Liverpool certainly knows how to throw a good party. I was wonderful to meet so many stars from so many walks of life, and I have to admit, I was a bit star struck! I met so many amazing women and felt really humbled. I’m looking forward to watching the concert in the comfort of my living room.
As well as rubbing shoulders with the stars, and soaking up Eurovision fever at the Albert Dock, I came across this amazing art exhibition celebrating “Queer Joy”. I was struck by the beauty displayed in the photographs. Such a pleasure to see. Well worth a visit.
Here are some of the incredible people I met; Juanita Steel, Dominque Walker, Natalie Kenny, Tracy O’Hara, Claire Dove, Alexandra Burke, Natasha Jonas, Beth Tweddle, Sunetra Sarker, Holly Johnson, Mae Muller and so many more…
