I was delighted to co-host an inaugural round table event for Black Professionals in the Liverpool City Region. Professional Liverpool have partnered with Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Race Equality Hub to explore the development of a Black Professionals Network to enhance the visibility, and economic empowerment of black professionals in the Liverpool city region. The passion and talent in the room was fantastic to see. Some market engagement was conducted prior to the event and there was felt to be a clear need for the network to support Black professionals to be included and involved in the wider business ecosystem to develop their businesses and careers. The next step will be to explore how the network can be established, led and develop a terms of reference. Thank you to all who attended the event today. I’m looking forward to connecting with you all and I’m confident that together we can make a real difference.
