I had the honour of delivering a presentation to the 300 graduates of the Police Now Leadership Programme as they are about to embark upon their policing careers in 14 forces across the country. I was delighted to see the diversity of the graduates; more than half were female, and some 26% from ethnic minority groups. That was totally unheard of when I joined the service. I congratulate the officers on their achievement and wish them every success in their careers.
